I bought my epilator from Flipkart and I didn’t receive a charging dock only a charging cord, I am not sure if the dock is sold separately.

 

Detailed Review

 

I have been using epilators since I was 16, I prefer epilators to waxing because I thing that it is mess free and the pain is about similar but of course pain is a relative term and some people do thing that epilating is more painful than waxing and others think its not painful at all. I think it is just as painful but not as messy.

 

If you also like epilation as a method for hair removal and don’t want tons of different equipments for sonic exfoliation and an dry shaver, I think this is perfect for you. I certainly feel it’s perfect for me.

 

I use the sonic brush every day! I have use the shaver head and the epilator so it was definitely worth it for me. I use the epilator for legs, arms and shaver for bikini and underarm area, I have not used the epilator on my face yet but my friend has this same version and she uses it for upper lips and she likes it.

 

It is cordless so I charge it up and keep it in my bathroom and use it every day, it comes with a pouch for storing but I find that pouch pretty ugly and useless, I keep it in my own pouch that I purchased separately.

 

I have now been using this since past two years and its working great! Braun recommends that you replace the Sonic Skin Refinement Brush every 6-9 months but I haven’t replaced mine yet and I think it still works fine.

 

I use the skin refinement brush in a slower setting for the face and a higher setting for rougher areas. It really does exfoliate better than manual scrubbing. I did buy another replacement brush so I use one for my body and separate on for my face.

 

As for the bikini and underarm area, it’s a good trimmer but I wouldn’t try epilation there that’s just too painful. The shaver head gives a good trim but I find myself grabbing for an old school manual razor for a closer finish but it was completely saved me going through the mess of waxing myself or the otherwise regular visits to the salon for waxing.

 

Should you buy the Braun Silk-epil 7 Skin Spa SE7951 Epilator?

Yes, if:

You have the money to spare (I actually saved up for this, are used to using epilator and also want your epilator to have different functions so you don’t need to have a different sonic brush or electric dry shaver.

No, if:

You don’t like epilation and just want a sonic brush or an electric shaver. If you don’t want the epilation function, you are better off buying a sonic brush or an electric shaver separately.

 

Do I think it is worth it?

 

Totally! If you want an epilator with a sonic brush and a shaver attachment and actually have use for all three functions.
