Fashion was never just for women. Ask a woman, she knows how incredibly attractive a man looks when he’s well dressed and groomed.
Here’s our checklist of wardrobe essentials for men this summer:
LIGHT CHINOS
Summer’s are hot, and so a great replacement for the traditional trousers and jeans is none other than pants. They are excellent for outdoor wear and a must-have in your summer wardrobe. They’ll make you look absolutely cool, stylish and fashionable. You can have them in neutral colors or fashion colors. One can also carry them formally by sporting them with a solid colored shirt and a belt.
CHAMBRAY SHIRTS
Chambray is a fabric made after mixing a denim fabric with cotton . This makes it lighter than the denim fabric but not as light as cotton. Chambray can be worn in any season. One can have them in varieties such as dyed, printed, ombre or patterned. When paired with a tie it gives for a formal look or pair them with khakis for a casual look. Rolling the sleeves will make it absolutely drool worthy (personally I like rolled up sleeves, okay?)
A PAIR OF MINIMALISTIC SNEAKERS
Sneakers are so versatile; you can wear them at work, in college, a date, or even an evening party. They don’t get soiled easily but when they do get soiled, they can be washed easily. One can go for colors such as black, gray or white. Go for patterned sneakers if you’re feeling a bit daring. Sneakers suit up well with both jeans and shorts.
SHIRTS (OFCOURSE!)
A button down shirt is a timeless staple. Seriously you should have at least a couple in your wardrobe. We advise you to get yourself new ones every year according to changes in fashion. You can never go wrong with these.
And oh! An oxford shirt is just unforgettable. Shirts really are the building blocks of any man’s smart and casual wardrobe. You can wear them under a blazer for a formal look or wear pair them with jeans for a casual one.
Pro Tip: Blue and white shirts are classics and can be paired with chinos or pants for an instant well-dressed impression.
AVIATOR SUNGLASSES
Be it reflectors, polarized or the ones available in colors. Aviators are the King of Sunglasses. Their classic style suits most face types and accentuates your features. There’s no reason not to have them in your wardrobe as the perfect companion to most of your looks.
Pro Tip: They also go well with all sorts of clothing styles.
DENIMS
T-shirts should be your first choice in warm weather. Be it monochromatic, striped or any other print or pattern. They are a fresh variant in your wardrobe and everyone man usually has these.
Pro Tip: horizontal striped T-Shirts give an illusion of a fuller body and vertical stripes will make you look slimmer. You can opt for the one which compliments your body type the best.
KNIT POLO T-SHIRTS
Nothing can beat the charisma of polo t-shirts (All hail Ralph Lauren). These are perfect for May’s heat.
These t-shirts manage to look smart without looking sloppy. You can create your own version by pairing it up with your favorite bottoms. Whether its chinos, shorts or jeans.
Pro Tip: Tuck them in for a sophisticated look.
COTTON BLAZERS
Cotton blazers are so trendy. Look for the ones with cotton-linen blends as they are cool and breathable. You can pull them off in night outs and evening parties. if you are bored of regular colors and want to experiment, you can opt for bold colors such red, blue etc.
Pro Tip: If you plan on going for bold colors, make sure that your lower is a neutral color to balance out your look.
CARGOS and SHORTS
Cargos and shorts are perfect leisurewear in summers. These are cooler- both, aesthetically and practically. Just make sure that they are not baggy and are tailored to your size. Stick to solid colors instead or printed as these are easier to pair up.
