Does your Baby Lips Maybelline have Parabens?
Yes, it does. When I called their consumer care department, the lady that spoke to me told me that they use parabens as preservatives but they strictly follow the legislation which states the permitted amount and do not go above that and thus making the product safe for use. She did not provide me the name of the paraben(s) used or any other information about what guidelines they use, just that they follow local legislation rules.

My review:

The colors offered by the Maybelline baby lips are in fact very flattering on Indian skin tones, I use it , my friends use it and it is true, we all found a color that suit us. The lip balm doesn’t pack on a lot of pigment though, the intensity of the color you get will be light and the finish would be glossy balm finish, but unlike gloss, your hair won’t stick to your lips. It gives a really nice light pink tint to my lips and I really like it for when I am not in the mood for a lipstick. I can easily fit it into my wallet when I am not carrying a bigger bag. The only thing that bugs me is that a company like Maybelline doesn’t think it necessary to tell us even a bit about the ingredients used. However, I like the packaging and with its reasonable price, along with SPF and slight tint it is sort of a multi-purpose save the day product for me. For me it does hydrate my lips well but if my lips are severely chapped then I have to run back to plain old Vaseline but I like it for everyday use as I can easily apply it on without a mirror without having to worry about getting the shape of my lips right like with gloss or lipstick. I was, however, a bit disappointed when I tasted it and it tasted lip normal lip balm on my lips, not the whole “More Flavor” that the packaging and the ads claim and the smell is not tropical either but if by flavors the company meant more colors they yeah the colors are nice and suit almost everybody.
A Quick Look
Pros:
- SPF 20
- Adequately Moisturizing
- The perfect amount of tint
- Reasonable price
- Small size makes it easy to carry
Cons:
- No flavor as they claim on the package
- It moisturizes but not up to 12hrs as claimed
- It is not paraben free so that maybe a turn off for people who want to go paraben free in their products
- The packaging does not mention the ingredients, in case anybody is allergic to any ingredient and they put it in there, the only way to find out would be to have a reaction.
