I have combination skin which is prone to acne, especially hormonal acne at my lady time of the month. I invested in this product 2 months ago and after using it for two months I have ditched all other moisturizers and the Forest Essentials Soundarya Advanced Serum has taken a permanent spot in my night time facial care routine for acne prone combination skin. Prior to starting the use of this product I had a few acne scars as well and I have noticed that they have started to fade.
My skin is softer it feels healthier, brighter and even toned. So much that the BB cream which I had to use to cover up my acne spots in my everyday makeup routine has now become an “special events” makeup item. Yes, I go bare skin (Just a sunscreen and a face powder to control the oil which is the by product of my combination skin.) and the Forest Essentials Soundarya Advanced Serum gave me that confidence by making my skin very healthy; that being the reason I decided to review this serum.

I know It sounds like this is sponsored by Forest essentials but NO, it isn’t. I just fell in love with their brand because of the quality that they offer. So far I am in love with all their products and they are by far the most authentic ayurvedic beauty product manufacturing company. After using a lot of their products I have become a fan.
Now back to the Forest Essentials Soundarya Advanced Serum I love that it has simplified my night time skin care routine from using a moisturizer, acne treatment and another blemish treatment…now I just have to use this one serum because It does it all. It has controlled my acne problem very efficiently I almost don’t get any pimples at oil. At first I was skeptical of it since I have enough oil on my face as it is and I wasn’t too sure about the oil serum but I’m glad I tried it because it is a great product and there is no questioning the results it have me. It does not clog pores, at least it doesn’t clog mine.
I opted for Forest Essential’s Soundarya Club membership since I use a lot of their products and I buy this Forest Essentials Soundarya Advanced Serum as soon as i run out. I want to try more of their products since i have loved the ones I tried so far but Im not a millionaire and *phew* their products are as pricey as they are effective.
Do note that natural ingredients can be irritating to some people so do a patch test before you buy. Their beauty experts will kindly help you test the product before you buy it.

I got this for my sister. She has oily skin and even though she just used one drop it felt heavy.

I have oily skin as well. It’s true that it feels heavy on the skin if you have oily skin, for me it felt so as well. So I always use it after, cleansing and exfoliating my skin. II use a pea sized amount. It does feel heavy, but I’ve been using mine for 4 weeks now and it has really worked on a deeper level, I rarely break-out now, not even during the lady days. And my skin just feels so soft.
The trick I use is applying it night right before going to bed, and washing my face as soon as I get up in the morning. If she still has the soundarya serum, tell her to try this method, let me know if it worked for her!

Hi Sangeeta, I have oily Skin and I use this serum, First I wash my face and then tone it with pure rose water and after toning I do not wipe my face dry, that’s the trick, the toner leaves my skin a little wet, that way just 1 drop of this serum can be spread over my entire face easily. At night, it might feel like its heavy although but by morning it makes my skin super soft and healthy after it is absorbed by the skin overnight. Still if your sister feels the oil is heavy, this same oil can be mixed (1 drop) with her favorite matte cream or night cream/moisturizer or even pure aloe vera gel!
