So, boys and girls, this is what’s happening – we are now embracing and totally loving the new take on the boho trend that’s so cleverly crept into the already glorious feminine boho vibes, and guess what – it’s absolutely stunning!
You’ve probably been spotting womenswear and also menswear trends inclined with boho inspiration; there we have seen a range of many colors, shapes and ethnic prints who have been perfectly summing up the notion of new wave boho style, but you never knew what to do with these ultimately fashionable pieces. Well, now you do – we’re here to help!
Still, most of the boho fashion is still predominantly focused on the ladies, but probably not for long –
In honor of all the gorgeously dressed boho girls and boys, we are giving you a review of boho jaw-dropping essentials that you need to have in your closet if you are into this fashion/lifestyle vibe at all:
Love your hats
Can you really be the boho babe without sporting a fabulous hat with a wide brim? Nah, not really. Regardless of gender, being boho means knowing how to rock your hats – from floppy hats, cowboy and fedoras to feminine designs that mimic the easiness of boho lifestyle, it all flies and it’s all great. As long as you pair them up with the proper bottoms, of course.
Keep denim shirts close to your heart
Loose, casual and easily combined with anything you are wearing with it, a denim shirt is a staple of every boho wardrobe. It’s great for both girls and boys, and you can pair it up with a boyfriend jean, skirt, shorts and everything in between. A washed-out color is preferred.
Channel the retro sunnies
The bigger the better! We are so happy that round shapes are in and embraced by both genders. We love the Lennon magnified sunnies that have been trending, as they give a special note to virtually any outfit. Literally, whatever you wear – add the huge retro pair on your face, and you’ve got yourself a style everyone will envy! Yes, boys are encouraged to rock them, too!
Be a headpiece role-model
Headbands, turbans, floral crowns (although these are just a little bit passé, at least in terms of Lana del Rey volume), head wraps with a bow or clean – they are all pieces that will upgrade your boho by 100%. Depending on your personal style, you can opt for various colors and patterns, from neutral colors like mauve, beige and white to greens, blues, corals and reds, and – naturally – patterns imitating natural shapes and images from nature. We’ve been seeing men wear turbans, although not many dare; it’s entirely up to the level of comfort.
Work some art into your attire
Inscriptions, hand-painted details, graphics, and messages– from the literal to the abstract – all have a place in both male and female bohemian style. Men are particularly encouraged to replace their old shirts for floral and plaid ones, and embrace the accessories for the added chic. However, for all of the males out there who are not digging the boho intensity presented at Burberry and Dior runways, we are suggesting they get started with a simply printed scarf that will evoke art. Also, a graphic print on a custom shirt will look spectacular, so pairing it up with a simply ripped denim jean will do. Adding leather bracelets, leather semi-choker necklaces (the more the merrier) will make the ensemble a true boho experience.
Swap heavy for chunky jewelry
The more unique, the better is our favorite jewelry (boho jewelry) rule; making your own pieces or finding those made from natural elements like coral, wood, feathers, turquoise or suede is all you need. Again, the more the merrier when it comes to accessorizing – so don’t hesitate to go just a little bit over the top.
