Why we decided to get a Paid Theme
I think we will all agree, when I put emphasis on the need for a good blog design, your blog is something you put your heart and soul into, a blogger knows, the amount of time and hard work that goes into making one good piece of quality content.
So it’s all going great, you’ve started out as a blogger or are already an established blogger, but you know what I think, great content, even better marketing all have their importance but we are visual creatures, and I don’t know what makes your day, but what makes mine is when I see beautifully designed blogs! It’s true, I love blogs that look pretty and are fluid and responsive, and everything just seems to go along together. While there are lots of free themes available, chances are your competition will also be using it, that’s why you should consider getting a paid theme, you don’t need a fortune, you can get them starting just $15.
Since blogging is more than just a hobby for me, I wanted to get something that people can identify The Jane And Samara Blog with, I wanted people to not only have a great time solving their questions and reading, even appreciating what I write, I wanted something that set us apart from other blogs. To me, that had to be the design (I’m not talking about quality of content and stuff and well this isn’t a make-money-online-site either or a marketing site for that matter) so I started searching for a custom design for the blog, but all designers I looked at and liked were way too expensive for me to be able to afford.
To be honest, even though we monetize our website, we’re too small right now to see profits coming in. Our earnings are negligible, and I think it will be a really long time before we start making any profit. Yet, I’m not disheartened or discouraged, because I know why I started the blog, to help others, and even if the blog doesn’t earn anything (we don’t even earn a dollar a month) it won’t make me stop blogging. I do this for passion, and money isn’t my main concern. And I know there are a lot of, in fact a ton of bloggers out there are only blogging for passion, for helping others and for making internet a beautiful place (I know, exaggeration when I say a beautiful place 😛 )
Why Designer Blogs
This is exactly why I along with Samara, decided to get us a paid design. Our search ended when we hit Designer Blogs while searching for “elegant beautiful wordpress themes” in google search box. We landed on Designer Blogs, we were impressed by the amount of amazing themes they had for Blogger (Blogspot) platform and they were just $15!
Then we scaled the entire site, and were delighted to know that they even had WordPress Premade Themes at only $50 a theme. We personally liked and decided on the Mabel Theme they had. They also have a lot of other accessories that you can get them to add to the blog.
I think Designer Blogs have the perfect themes for women-centric, beauty, or fashion blogs to be honest. You can even go for a custom design that you have in mind for $400.
Our Experience Designer Blogs
So we ordered the the mabel theme which is a premade wordpress theme (also available for Blogger) as mentioned a designer was in touch with us in a week, we discussed over the design and if we needed any changes, and the theme was installed on the blog within one week of purchase (blogger themes are instantly e-mailed to you).
What we loved the most was the designer’s professionalism, it was Christmas Eve, yet she worked with us, did in the revisions we wanted at least 3-4 times, without any complains! Our level of satisfaction with what we got, how we got it was beyond amazing, this is why we decided to recommend them to our readers as well!
We had no problems getting through the designer and letting her know what we wanted, she co-operated and the payment was made before-hand yet very securely.
In short we were just impressed! We recommend them to anyone whose out there and looking to get a paid theme or a custom design for their blog or website!
